Circulation: The Library's collection of over 800,000 volumes are available to the CSUEB community for circulation. This unit also maintains inventory control over all circulating materials, maintains the physical collection, handles all financial issues relating to circulation and serves as a public contact/relations area within the Library. Circulation Services also administers Link+, the book request services that allows faculty, staff and students to borrow materials (which are unavailable from Hayward) from other CSU campuses. General assistance is also available from the Circulation Desk.

Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery provides CSUEB faculty, staff and students with books, journal articles and other materials which are not owned by the CSUEB Library; it also lends CSUEB Library materials and provides photocopied journal articles to other libraries.

Archives & Special Collections
University Archives contain official records, images, and other materials which relate to the history of the University. Archives also maintains a collection of voting records and other items which relate to the history of Southern Alameda County.
Special Collections houses and provides access to old, rare and valuable materials which require special security, treatment, and preservation.

Computing Services
Library Computing Services is responsible for maintaining the Library's various computing technologies. The Library maintains a CD-ROM Database Center, and provides web and telnet access to other remote databases. The unit also coordinates with the Library's online catalog vendor, as well as maintains the Library's LAN and staff PC's.

Concord Campus Library
The Concord Campus Library is a distantly located but integral part of the Cal State East Bay Library. The CC Library is designed to provide access to all of the resources of the CSUEB Library through onsite and networked resources (databases, printed indexes and internet connections).

Media Resources and Reserve Desk
The Media/Reserves Desk, in the Upper Mall Lobby of the Library, is the place to access the non-print (media) collections of the Library, as well as to utilize all the Library's Reserve materials (both print and media). The Media/Reserves Desk also provides a large range of specialized services for patrons and faculty, including the Wireless Laptop Program. Click here for more details.

Technical Services
Acquisitions orders, receives, and processes invoices for payment for all materials acquired by the Library. Acquisitions is responsible for the Library's approval plan, serial and periodical subscriptions, firms orders, gift, and state and federal documents depository programs. Acquisitions monitors and prepares reports for a $1,000,000.00 materials budget.
