Government Publications Coordinator Tom Bickley coordinates access for the greater CSUEB community (students, faculty, staff, and the general public) to information provided by federal, state, and local governments. We provide free access to many resources in print in the Government Documents section of the CSUEB Library (on the Lower Mall, between the Reference Stacks and the Juvenile Stacks). We provide access to an even larger amount of information electronically. Many resources are catalogged and accessible via HAYSTAC. To complement our print and HAYSTAC resources, this page links to sources of government information on the web. The links on this website connect to "Sources of Information Provided by Governments." While some of it is directly relevant to study of the political and administrative aspects of the public sector, most of the sources are not 'about government.' Rather they are subject resources relevant to courses taught at CSU Hayward. The CSUEB Library is proud to participate in the Federal Depository Library Program. We became a part of that program in 1963. "The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) was established by Congress to ensure that the American public has access to its Government's information. Since 1813, depository libraries have safeguarded the public's right to know by collecting, organizing, maintaining, preserving, and assisting users with information from the Federal Government. The FDLP provides Government information at no cost to designated depository libraries throughout the country and territories. These depository libraries, in turn, provide local, no-fee access to Government information in an impartial environment with professional assistance." - Government Printing Office FDLP Desktop: About the FDLP Please note: these Government Information pages are undergoing extensive revision.
