Thaddaa and Josine Jensen
The Immigrant Generation

Thaddaa Theodora Jensen (1845-1943) was the fourth child of the elder Jensens.  After she and her family joined the brothers in California, she married Jacob Harder in 1873, and had five children. They lived on rented farms in Mt. Eden (near present day Hesperian and Tennyson Roads) until 1894, when they bought 150 acres just south of Hayward.  Harder Road names the location.

Josine Valene Jensen (1847-1933) was the fifth child of Nahmen Jensen. She married Ernst Erken, and had one child. They bought 100 acres from Erich and Jens and farmed them.
